A study published in an issue of the American Journal of Medicine, shows that the probability of developing metabolic syndrome is decreased with marijuana consumption. Much like other studies of the same cause, this new study establishes a relationship between regular cannabis users to slimmer waistlines and fewer incidence of type II diabetes.

Their investigation showed that 19.5% of participants with metabolic syndrome had never used pot, 17.5% were ex-marijuana users, and 13.8% were current pot users.

The studies cited coherently show that occurrence of the condition decrease as marijuana consumption is maintained or increases. It may have viable implications as the nation faces more issues on obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
