In Israel, investigators at the Hebrew University Bone Laboratory studied and found some promising results on the mechanism of CBD to mid-femoral fractures of rats.
It was found reported by the researchers that CBD markedly enhanced the properties of the healing femora after 8 weeks.
For further analysis, they tried to combine THC with CBD but found out that no noticeable difference was present. They have concluded that the plant’s potential bone-stimulating properties can be found alone in CBD.
With their precious acknowledgement in the stimulation of bone formation and bone loss inhibition by endogenous cannabinoids, they see the potential for the future use of cannabinoid for osteoporosis medication.
